Genitourinary Oncology Nurse Navigator

It is often difficult to understand the different treatment options when you are feeling overwhelmed with a new cancer diagnosis. Our genitourinary (GU) oncology nurse navigator, a registered nurse, is the primary resource for prostate and urinary cancer patients and the people who care for them. The GU oncology nurse navigator will help you and your family overcome hurdles that you may encounter during diagnosis and treatment by:

• Helping you understand your specific diagnosis and treatment plans
• Having educational materials available to you and your family
• Answering questions through your journey
• Scheduling appointments as needed
• Ensuring that your case has a team-based approach to your care
• Providing support for the physical, spiritual and emotional needs during and after your illness
